A commencer par « Biréli Lagrène et son Gypsy Project », guitariste de jazz mondialement connu, mais aussi « Mr Boogie Woogie », un pianiste spectaculaire qui arrive tout droit des Pays-Bas et les jeunes, mais ô combien talentueux, musiciens des « Doigts de l’Homme » qui distillent un jazz manouche rapide, dansant et drôle. A voir aussi, le groupe « Good Time Jazz », dont la réputation n’est plus à faire en Bretagne, les musiciens de « Savoy Jazz » de Cambridge, Angleterre, et un groupe de jazz venu de normandie, « Feeling Stompers » avec un style Nouvelle Orléans . Comme les années précédentes, ces musiciens, et bien d’autres, viendront jouer sur les bords de l’Aulne dans un cadre magnifique avec une ambiance chaleureuse et festive.
Rendez-vous donc le dimanche 5 août, de midi à 1h du matin. Et pour ceux qui veulent prendre un bain de jazz avant le jour J, les festivités commenceront dès le samedi 4 au soir avec une série de concerts à la salle Ar Sterenn à Châteauneuf du Faou. « FEST-JAZZ! » 4th/5th August 2007 CHATEAUNEUF DU FAOU « Fest-Jazz » is back again this year. The third edition of this festival of jazz in the Breton market town of Châteauneuf du Faou will be even bigger and better than ever. The festival takes place on the banks of the beautiful River Aulne and this year boasts some real international stars of jazz:
“Biréli Lagrène and his Gypsy Project” known the world over for his brilliant jazz guitar; “Mr Boogie Woogie” a spectacular pianist from Holland; “Les Doigts de l’Homme” a young and very talented group in the Jazz Manouche style; lively and swinging Dixieland Jazz from the top band in Brittany, “Good Time Jazz”; superb foot tapping Jazz from Cambridge, England with “Savoy Jazz”; from Normandy the “Feeling Stompers” with their classic New Orleans style. Other bands will be there too and details of these will be given in April. The weekend starts with a “Jazz Band Ball” in the town on Saturday 4th August, featuring “Good Time Jazz” and “Savoy Jazz”.
